Myanmar [Burmese] Artists | Win Myint Moe

Win Myint Moe was born in 1955 in Nyaung Done, Myanmar. He graduated from the State School of Fine Art, Yangon in 1976, and was fortunate enough to have studied under the master artist U Lun Gywe, U Win Htein (NyaungDon), U Thu Kha, U Thein Han, and U Mya Aye. He has won several awards in 1976, 1996, 2007, 2009 and 2010. He excels in Impressionist paintings depicting the beauty of traditional Myanmar culture and landscapes through oil and acrylic on canvas mediums. He is currently a state artist of many Myanmar government art projects. Win Myint Moe has participated in several group and solo exhibitions in Myanmar and in Japan, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand. He has permanent collections in the National Theatre of Myanmar, Mural Paintings at the Military Institute of Medicine in Yangon, and the Dhammikayama Burmese Temple in Malaysia.
